PICTURES coming!

So I'm going to try and keep up this blog thing, but be patient with me as I still need to load the pictures to go along with the stories! :)
ciao-

Cody's birthday!

Birthday celebration 12:30pm
Crabby Daddy's off Rayford

Meredith (sister-well by marriage), Cody (brother), Archer (not paying attention), Ashton (sleeping and enjoying his pacy), Brett (brother), and Tiffany, Andrew (MIA-at work...)

Problem: 1-its during nap time, 2- its in the Woodlands and we were just there yesterday!
Solution: 1-put Archer down earlier, 2-just deal with it!
Outcome: 1-I get him down at 11am and have to wake him at 12:15, so we can get there on time. When I do wake him he just sits on the edge of his bed crying for 10 minutes! AHH! Then Ashton starts crying and I am trying to get Archer dressed during this while my nerves are being fried! Finally I get the boys into the car and Ashton is still upset- actually I think his tummy was bothering him! Poor guy- I think it was the FABulous dinner my Mom made last night- chicken, spinach wrapped up in a pork chop and bacon! Umm...

Birthday celebration: we made it on time and it was ALL worth it seeing my brother smile and thank me for coming out! Archer sat with his Uncle Cody and ate crawfish and sucked on the corn! He truly enjoyed it! We took pictures in front of the crab and Archer played with the crawfish on a beautiful day!

Happy Birthday Uncle Cody! 26-WOW!
Archer loving on his Uncle Cody at his birthday party...Archer wanted to sit with the birthday boy and really no one else! Uncle Cody shared his crawfish with Archer and boy did he love that, which I was surprised!

Archer loved playing with this crawfish- I had to tell him that we could not take it with us- the crawfish would be sad! :(

Peter Rabbit

Today we started off with story time- we did arrive on time! They read Peter Rabbit and a Bunny without a BOX! Archer shared a little bench with another little boy until the little boy tumbled off with excitement! After we finished listening to the story we made bunny ears! Archer and I colored it brown and blue and then had to cut it out! Archer went up to the story teller and asked for the scissors- she showed him how to carry them and once he got to me, which was only a few steps away I took them from him! He wanted to cut, so I attempted to show him, but then realized that my big boy needs lefty scissors and that was not an option and he was getting frustrated, so I had to cut and tell him that the scissors were broken! After I cut the ears out and went to tap the band together while measuring it against his little head- I found out that the band was not BIG enough, so I had to make a makeshift one! It was perfect and he loved it! He actually wore them out and only took them off that day for nap time!

That afternoon we went to the Galleria to take a picture with the Easter Bunny and I told Archer if he smiled for him that I would get him a cookie! He was excited about it ALL, until we got to the bunny and he turned into some child I did not recognize! Archer was SO scared of the bunny that he was screaming and crying out of control, so Andrew and I agreed to sit down with him and Ashton! We took maybe 12 pictures and this was the best! The girl taking it informed me that they were really only allowed to take 2-3! Well...what can I say?!

Storytime!

Barnes and Noble in the River Oaks shopping center has every Thursday story time for the children, so Archer, Ashton and I decided to go not knowing what to expect...
It started at 11am, but we arrived little late and gathered around with the other children as they were already listening to the story! Archer sat so patiently and listened with great eagerness! After the story was over we did a craft that was related to the book we read! Our first craft was a BLUE monster with googly eyes! So you can guess what the book was about! :)

Anniversary

Andrew and I celebrated 6 years of marriage today! Andrew had to work during the day, so the boys and I headed to my parents for some fun! We enjoyed sitting out on the back patio with the beautiful weather! It was about 72 degrees outside...

Archer played ball with Pops while Ashton hung out in Nana's arms! I just sat by the pool and enjoyed the sun and view of my boys playing! Archer wanted to ride Pops' tractor, but for some reason it would not start, so of course my Dad took it about and started working on it! Archer was very curious and wanted to help Pops fix it! ...so together they worked on it! Pops walked inside the house to get something and Archer stood next to the project while Nana watched over him! Archer bent down to pick up a tool and Nana said, "Oh! No- we don't want to play with Pops tools unless he is here with us!" Archer put them back down and Pops walked back out and asked Archer what he was doing! Archer said, "I'm just standing right here doing nothing!" Mind you his arms were up in the air like what is your problem! LOL!

After a short nap and snacks we headed back home to meet Andrew with our dinner! He brought home Pappadeux's, which was what we ate on our first date 10 years ago! As a family we all sat down to eat and then realized that they left out our dessert, so after wards we all loaded up into the car and went to get our cheesecake! Umm...

As our love continues to grow, so does our faith in GOD and we are so BLESSED with a happy marriage!

I am so happy...

words from a little two year old after arriving at his Mimi's house! Yesterday we went to go see Andrew's Mom and Dad for a visit, they live in Sugarland! Mimi recently had surgery to remove cancer from her pancreas and part of her colon last Tuesday and is at home recovering before they start chemo and radiation...Once she starts that the boys will not be able to see her since they are little germ bugs and Mimi can't afford to catch those!

So we planned a short little visit, but before we got there I had to run an errand, which Archer was not happy about! Each time I would stop at a stoplight Archer would inform me that I needed to drive and he wanted to go see Mimi! That was the longest errand for a little boy eager to see his MIMI!

It was a pure blessing to see Mimi's face light up once her boys walked in the room! I pray that seeing them gives her more strength! May God please watch over her and keep her well!
