Galveston and parents

What an amazing surprise...details to follow with pictures after tonight! :)

cell phones and 2

Yesterday evening we got home kinda late from Galveston (parents surprise 30th Anniversary Party and renewal of their vows), so we had chicken from Popeyes and I showered with Archer and Ashton, so we could get ready for bed quickly! Afterwards Andrew jumped in the shower and I feed and rocked Ashton to sleep, but before he did he gave Archer his cell phone to watch Veggi Tales on...

Well I guess Andrew's shower was not done before Veggi Tales, because the next thing I hear is "Hello, Uncle Butt (Brett) On my bed- watching Veggi Tales on Daddy's phone! Yes, Mommy is rocking baby brother! It was fun! Ok- night night! Love you too!"

So...I guess he called my younger brother Brett somehow? I was laughing too much..well he called him again and I hear "he is in the shower...Daddy's in the shower YES Mommy is rocking baby brother!" I guess Brett wanted to make sure everyone was okay- it seemed he was asking Archer the same questions and Archer started to speak more defined with Brett!

I'm trying SO hard NOT to laugh while rocking Ashton, because he was almost asleep! Well that was ruined when Archer came in the hall and tried to tell me quietly that he was talking to Uncle Brett- talked 2 minutes- I call him tomorrow! I asked him- "did you call him" Yap I talked two minutes and told him night night!

I'm sure my brother was concerned for his well being if he had a phone and called him twice, but I heard all and was laughing so hard on the inside! Andrew finally got out of the shower and asked Archer for the phone back and he said "NO!" I talked Uncle Brett for two minutes! Andrew asked if he wanted to call his Mimi (Andrew's mom) and he said yes!

Conversation with Mimi and hand gestures were included...

Hi Mimi, yes, I went to beach today and saw ocean, yes, love you, bye, bye now!

That's all! So cell phones for two year olds? The debate! J/K! Cell phones when they start driving until then Mommy and Daddy's are good enough! BTW: They won't drive till 30, date at 40, and who says you have to go away for college...

:-) BTW: BTW: was just a joke!

BLOG more!

...so I have all these great stories that happen through out the day that I think OH- I need to blog that, so as of today I am going to promise myself for my boys to blog right after I put them down for a nap, so I can have their little stories of the day documented, because some of them just crack me up to no end and I don't ever want to forget this time in their lives! Kids are too funny and SUCH blessings!

As Archer sleeps and Ashton plays on his rug in his room while listening to music it just HITS me- I am SO BLESSED! Alright- I've known how blessed I am, but a wave of emotion and gratefulness HIT me! I am such a lucky girl that GOD has given me the opportunity to stay home and raise HIS children that he so graciously gave Andrew and I. I couldn't imagine it any other way! I think the fact that I had to work after we had Archer truly makes me appreciate the fact 100% more! I just continue to pray that God continues to provide financial for our family, so I can grow with my boys! On that note...

cowboys

This past week- I joined some of my friends in teaching, 2 year olds, VBS at our church, Houston's First Baptist, and boy OH boy...

It was a blast and a challenge- we had Bible time, craft time, prayer time, music time, play-time, and even had to do time-out, which was not fun! I was not in Archer's room, which was probably best for him and me although I think it would be fun to watch him in a "classroom" setting.

To my dear Archer,
Every time I would pick you up- you would be so filled with excitement from the things that you did that you were going 90 mph trying to tell me everything you did! I think the most favorite thing that you made was a bird feeder that you and your Daddy put in the backyard and waited and waited until finally BIRDS came and you were SUPER pumped until they ate it all and then you were sadden and kept asking Daddy and I for more food for the feeder, not the birds...
Also, you have a little throw away cup sitting on the window sill in the kitchen with grass growing that we cut because if we don't it starts falling over because it grows SO tall! In the morning when we are standing in the kitchen you request to see it and hold it- you hand it back to Daddy or I with a grin upon your face! Your smile just melts my heart...
XOXO-Mommy

Dearest Ashton,
You are such an angel, SPOILED! So day 1 I brought your BM in the bottle and all you ate was 1 ounce, which was NOT enough for my growing boy with those tender thighs of yours! I later put it together from Sunday School and VBS- you eat enough to hold you over till I come to your rescue and then you chow down! I truly didn't want you to starve, but then I debated do I to make you learn to eat from the bottle and I decided not for your sake, but for the lovely folks caring for you to just feed you myself while at VBS!
Also, I am sad to report that you had your first crush, Madison Redweik, while at VBS! She was the one that walked you around the church when you wouldn't go to sleep or eat and she made you smile more than any other! Everyone joked that you two had a love affair that week-
your world, for now,
Mommy

The last day of VBS was themed western wear, so I cut one of Daddy's bandanas, he wears it while he is mowing to keep the sweat out of his eyes, in 1/2 and make each of you little cowboys! BTW: we need to buy Daddy another one because he has been using Mommy's and it is pink...Archer you are too funny: when I told you were a Cowboy you went and got your horse and wanted to hold it while I took your pictures!
Gotta love the life in this picture of Archer and Ashton looking a little confused...I love my boys and feel so blessed by them! They truly LOVE each other and LIFE! Praise the LORD!
